Aaron Gascoigne

Aaron has extensive experience with Funds Management both in New Zealand and overseas. Of recent times, Aaron has overseen and managed the distribution of several investment opportunities into retail and institutional markets for high end funds management groups based around the globe. He maintains relationships with intermediaries and investors alike and ensures a timely sell down process of all products. He is the Executive Director and founder of Kiwi Investment Partners and proud to represent PM Capital in the New Zealand marketplace.

Prior to these roles Aaron worked as Head of Sales for Tribeca (now known  as Kaplan University) in Sydney in the Adviser, Broker and Trader conferencing division. Here Aaron was able to build solid working relationships with decision makers in the retail and institutional markets alike – both in New Zealand and Australia. Aaron’s time at the helm of Tribeca Communications proved pivotal in his the role that Kiwi Investment Partners can now provide clients.

Aaron was also an Institutional Dealer focusing on European and Eastern European Assets for JP Morgan and BoNY in London, New York and Sydney for over 10 years.

His other experience includes:

– Managed property portfolio in excess of AUD $500 Million, included unlisted diversified property funds and large residential sub divisions in Perth WA.
– Established and managed the Japanese Markets desk for JP Morgan, Sydney 2001.
– Managed portfolios in excess of USD $6 billion daily, including gilts, treasuries, equities and fixed income (held in US, European, UK and Japanese markets), Pre 2001.

Adding to all of this he has wonderful family, consisting of his wife, Jacinta, and his children, Jack and Ava who keeps him focused.  They are incredibly supportive and proud of what he has have achieved – with them, nothing is impossible.

Through his career Tem has developed a wealth of experience and knowledge in building businesses, instilling values, developing relationships, driving strategy and achieving outcomes. Temuera has either lead or played a key role in numerous investment collaborations and partnerships. With over 20 years’ experience in asset management, funds management and financial advice, Temuera specialises in developing and implementing Maori cultural beliefs and values as a foundation to leadership, relationships, investment planning, business goals and direction.

Temuera began a career in asset management 1992. He established and lead the financial services company IWI Investor Group from 1996 to 2012 this included establishing and leading a Private Equity subsidiary. Temuera was CEO for an Iwi Settlement Trust for a targeted two years specifically to recover and restructure the entity and complete the numerous acquisitions and investments available to the Trust.

As well as senior management, chief executive and governance roles in the investment and finance sector, Temuera has held governance and executive roles in Maori Economic Authorities with extensive exposure to the Forestry and Agri sectors. Governance positions include; Chairman – Opepe Farm Trust, Director – CNI Iwi Holdings Limited, Chairman Te Kakano Whakatipu Partnership. Previous Crown directorships include 6 years with NZ Post and 7 years on Scion (NZ Forest Research).
